Tailored Spirits Co. Raise £2500 for Charity Completing 54 Mile Hike
Edinburgh whisky entrepreneurs recently swapped their drams for hiking boots in June as they took on the legendary Cateran Yomp in support of the Army Benevolent Fund.
Adam Harding and Tom Costello - the team behind award-winning Leith whisky business - had spent months preparing and training across Edinburgh and beyond ahead of the gruelling 54mile endurance challenge through the Perthshire Highlands.
Widely regarded as one of the UK's toughest endurance events, on 6-7th June 2026 the Cateran Yomp saw challengers cover 54 miles in under 24 hours, climbing more than 2,000 metres across rugged Scottish terrain while raising vital funds for soldiers, veterans and military families.
The Tailored Spirits Co. team began their challenge at 6:30am on 6th of June before embarking on a gruelling 54 mile stomp through rain, shine, peat bogs, glens and hills. Hiking right through the day and night and finally crossing the line 24 hours later on Sunday June 7th between 6:15am and 6:31am.

The mission was taken as part of the company's annual charity commitment and raised an astonishing £2,494.00 for the Army Benevolent Fund charity.
'We're just getting our bodies back to working order. The Yomp was as much a mental battle as it was a physical one. We started at a decent pace but as the hours rolled by along with the miles, the weariness started to take over. There was one checkpoint where we were all absolutely exhausted, bodies screaming at us to stop, the light was starting to fade, but we had to get our soggy back packs and boots back on and trek for another 9 hours, begrudgingly, we did just that.
Getting to 1am and realising we had completed 19 hours of solid hiking but still had 5 hours to go forced us to dig into a level of determination we never know we had.
But the elation of crossing the line, at almost exactly 24 hours was phenomenal. An emotional end to an immense and brutal challenge.
We're ecstatic to see our team total raise a massive £2,494.00 for a wonderful charity in the Army Benevolent Fund. Thank you for all of the support'

The team at Tailored Spirits Co. take great pride in partaking in regular charity endeavours and see their work as an opportunity to shine a light on how business success can be a conduit for doing good within the communities in which they work.
The whole challenge was documented on social media and can be followed via instagram.
